The Pinzat concept is inspired by the graffiti scene in New York in the 1970’s, when trains and subways were the common base that the street artists used to develop their creations. Their works of art crossed the city and could be enjoyed by the whole community. Just like our bags: unique pieces of art that ride through different scenarios and landscapes.To begin with we were just a few, but the family has grown to the 35 artists that we are today. Artists from all over the world, most of them settled in Barcelona or with a close relationship to the city, hand paint each and every one of our bags and backpacks. We are based in Born, a neighborhood that has historically been a centre for artisans, like ourselves. All our products are made one at a time in our workshop.Most of our artists come from the world of graffiti but illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists and engravers also participate. Amongst them you’ll find icons of the street art scene in Barcelona and beyond like Ibie, Uyu, Sensible, Alberto de Blobs, Lolo and Sosaku, Jaiku 187, Ovni, Morcky, Daniel Our, Pablo Salvaje, Sonia Coconut, Fake... and talented painters like Minerva Capdevila, Javier Siquier, Núria Tellez, Dolça, Karla Kracht and Emilio Cerezo. From the abstract to the figurative, we have a vast and rich collection. Our waterproof paint is the result of two years of research. It’s stable, washable and doesn’t rub off. We want our art to be permanent! Even on a bicycle seat!We like things to be done properly. For our more technical range, backpacks, hip pouches and courier bags, we use high resistance Cordura, ballistic and ripstop fabrics. Heat sealed zips give our products that extra endurance that the most demanding of us need.Our commitment to the environment.
